So sorry to say we will be out the $50 plus $10 shipping unless we can find someone who may want to buy them from us, which may not be easy if at all possible. Then took the new Thermo-Rite Thinline door frame we purchased from you and held it up in the opening only to find that the screen would not open without pushing the door frame out, there was no room for it to slide behind the new Thinline doors. After cutting 1/4" off the bottom, my wife and I hung it in the fireplace. I couldn't really use the screen curtain.

The idea is good as it allows for a more flexible installation (can be installed in different conditions), but as a result, the scoring severely weakens the rod to the point that when I used pliers as instructed to bend the rod for installation, each end broke off! Luckily I have a metal firebox so what I did was drill holes into the sidewalls of the firebox and inserted the rod directly into the firebox walls this supported the rod instead of the screws I would have used if the bending of the rod was successful. It requires it to be bent at the point where it meets the wall of the fireplace enclosure and is "scored" to make this bending easier.
